PQS 2026/27: Clinical audit published

NHS England has published the PQS 2026/27 clinical audit for pharmacies completing Domain 2 – Professional Practice.

What you need to know
 The audit focuses on Pharmacy First clinical pathway consultations and record keeping.
 A pharmacist must complete the audit and develop an action plan to improve practice.
 The pharmacist must then complete a peer discussion with a ‘buddy’ pharmacist to review the audit findings and action plan.
 Pharmacy owners must ensure the audit, action plan and peer discussion are completed no later than 31st March 2027.
 Some collated data must be submitted to NHS England via the NHSBSA MYS portal.
